"Nightmare at the Book Fair" by Dan Gutman

A lot of Tigerhawks love the "My Weird School" series by author Dan Gutman. They are funny and short and we love to visit the characters again and again.

Did you know that Dan Gutman writes books that are not part of the "My Weird School" series, though? He has series about baseball and time travel and genius missions and sports. But he also has stand-alone novels like the one I read this summer called "Nightmare at the Book Fair."

In this story, Trip Dinkleman is helping the librarian set up the book fair when he suffers an injury that ends up taking him through multiple life experiences as if he is inside different genres of books.

I'm excited to read this book with our upcoming 4th and 5th graders this year at NFV! We'll learn all about the different genres in the library and figure out which ones are our favorites.
